History of the Myst game series

The Myst game series, and particularly the original Myst and Riven have remained my favourite computer games that my brother and I were fascinated by in the gameplay, and the games still stand out today as an interesting in breaking away from the more common computer games often based in combat, sports, and war. In these games the player explored strange worlds with puzzles needed to solve to advance in the game. Below is a video that shows the history of the Myst game series including the pre-Myst games made by the Rand brothers that influenced Myst as well as the limitations they had to overcome to create the games.
