Flag China alternate history large

Flag of China in an alternate history where China becomes a liberal democracy after transitioning away from the current communist one-party system. It is based upon the flag of China from 1912 to 1928 that was adopted after the 1911 Chinese Revolution.

The five colours depict the five peoples of China. The five peoples are the Han (red), Manchus (yellow), Mongols (blue), Hui (white), and Tibetans (black). The five-coloured star represents the seeking of unity of the Chinese people and the wide vertical red stripe represents the both the sacrifice of the Chinese people in the 1911 Revolution in the cause of founding the republic, and subsequent wars in defense of Chinese independence from invaders.

Note: I use a standard palette of shades of colours for the flag designs. Contrary to the images of flags depicted on Wikipedia, I do not follow the "official" shades of colours claimed by governments as well as alternate history flags based on flags of existing countries. The problem is that it commonly results in bizarre shading of a flag if they are taken literally - in practice such "official" colour shades are almost never applied and standard reds, blues, etc, are used.
